Ways to Listen

Modern music through fresh ears

Overview

Music to focus on. Music to wash over you. Music to puzzle and excite you. There are so many ways to listen to modern music that knowing how to can be a challenge in itself. No Dice will guide you through an evening of recent compositions as musicians shake off the formalities to share what the music means to them and how they hear it. Featuring music by composers from the RNCM and University of Manchester, older solo pieces by Takemitsu and Friedman played for our own time, and a piece by rising composer Nico Muhly.
